Overlooked Women's Accessories

Perhaps you have the best clothes, ranging from luxury investment pieces you've acquired from Gucci, Givenchy, and Balenciaga.

But every fashion aficionado knows that women's accessories are just as important as the clothes. This begs the question, do you know enough about women's accessories to complement your enviable wardrobe collection?

Women's accessories do more than add flair to an outfit; they can upgrade any outfit and make you look put together and classy. Even the most inexpensive finds you brought home from your latest shopping spree can look posh with the right women's accessories.

Unfortunately, some still falter when it comes to choosing the right women's accessories. Fret not; below are a few tips that may give your clothes due credit.

"When someone says "women's accessories", bracelets and jewelry come to mind while other equally important accessories are often forgotten."

For instance, not very many women invest in fashionable wallets as much as they do on their belts. Wallets are, however, considered a great way to accessorize.

They serve a practical purpose and, at the same time, give your ensemble the splash of color or texture it might need. Consider investing in patent leather wallets in both classic and bright hues; whether you decide to keep your wallet in your bag or carry it as is, a chic wallet is a sensible accessory you should definitely buy more of.

Another forgotten member of women's accessories is the umbrella. Nowadays, umbrellas are no longer carried with pride; the smaller and less conspicuous they are, the better. However, umbrellas used to be a great accessory.

Perhaps the pretty parasol of decades past with its frilly lace and pink to white color palettes are no longer warranted now, but umbrellas don't have to be a dull dud.

Consider buying several umbrellas in different colors; if you're bold enough, you might want to try patterned umbrellas in stripes checks, or even abstract prints. If you are a brand-a-holic but prefer more neutral colors, you may opt for Jean Paul Gaultier's rouched black umbrella.

Do you already own key rings that make a fashion statement? If your keys hang from an elegant key ring, then you dress in style not for others, but for yourself.
