Can We Beat the Symptoms of PMS?

PMS is an acronym that stands for Pre (prior to) Menstrual (the monthly bleed) Syndrome (condition or group of symptoms). It affects many girls and women of childbearing age and can greatly upset their lives.

Anyone who suffers from PMS and has heard the joke "What's wrong with you, time of the month?" when someone notices they look miserable will know how incorrect this quip is, as for most women the onset of their period brings an end to their misery and any feelings of depression.

Because the symptoms of PMS are so varied and can also be confused with other illnesses it is important to keep a diary for a few months of what you experience both physically and emotionally. Symptoms can occur up to 2 weeks before menstruation or just a few days before.

If you are experiencing unusual mood swings, depression, tummy, back or headaches at other times of the month, consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis and possible psychological evaluation.

Doctors and scientists still don't fully understand the causes of PMS; it is thought to be related to the increase of progesterone during the second half of a woman's cycle which along with another hormone, oestrogen, drops at the start of menstruation. There may also be a genetic link, so if your mother suffered you may too as well as your daughter.

Symptoms can vary (here are just some of them) and come under two main categories:

Physical: Bloating and abdominal aches, backache, headache, tender breasts, nausea and vomiting, acne, food cravings, lack of libido.

Psychological: Depression, feeling weepy, moodiness, nervousness, anxiety, difficulty in concentrating.

Many of the physical symptoms such as abdominal pain; caused by the womb contracting to expel its un-needed lining, back and headache are experienced in the first few days of menstruation by nearly every woman and by themselves are not an indication of PMS and can be treated by over the counter medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen.

Oral contraceptives are also prescribed as these prevent ovulation and regulate estrogen and progesterone. A doctor may also prescribe an antidepressant such as Prozac for the control of depressive feelings and mood swings if they are severe enough.

If we are to beat PMS a change in lifestyle and eating habits is a good first step on the road to leading a "normal" life. A diet high in fibre and low in salt and sugar is advised for everyone and can be very beneficial for women with PMS symptoms; limiting your intake of alcohol, stopping smoking and losing weight if you are carrying a few extra pounds is also recommended. A good nights sleep and regular routine of exercise, meals and other daily tasks is also important.

Staying Stylish While Pregnant

The number one most common complaint from pregnant women is the fact that they cannot wear any of their oh-so-cute clothes anymore, as they are sacrificing their beautifully fit bodies to bear a child. Many women cannot stand the fact that they now have to shop for maternity wear.

Maternity clothes do not have to be all bad though. You most definitely want them to be comfortable, but that does not mean that they have to be ugly. Many stores and retail designers are now stepping up and providing great looking clothes for women who may be sporting the baby bump.

The worst part about not fitting into your favorite jeans when you are pregnant is that, well, they were your favorite jeans and now you are just confined to loose-fitting sweatpants, right? Wrong! With maternal specialty stores and plenty of department stores offering entirely new maternal clothing lines, you can have the jeans you want, even while you are pregnant!

The best part is that you can get them at a decent price and you will love what you find! These jeans and pants will not look like mom jeans, nor will they look gross. This only means that you can still look great even while being pregnant.

Many women also cannot stand the fact that they have to purchase all of these new clothes, but that they will only be pregnant for nine months. Fortunately, many women feel the same pain and so specialty maternity wear consignment shops have been created to help take care of this issue.

Now women can bring in all of their old maternity clothes, especially if you are not planning on having another baby. This way, those women who may not be able to afford brand new maternity clothes, can also find clothes to wear while they are pregnant with their babies.

Women are also very easily upset by the fact that they used to be skinny and fit, until they get pregnant. While a small percentage of women can stay fit during pregnancy, many women do not and it takes a lot of hard work and dedicated effort to get back to your normal size after being pregnant.

Unfortunately, this is not extremely easy, especially with a brand new kid at your hip. So, one of the best things to do is to get on a regulated diet plan and start exercising. First, you can start by walking and maybe even walking with your baby. Then you can start doing more difficult cardio exercises until you are ready to start a normal routine.

Pregnancy is a wonderful and beautiful thing, but nobody ever said it was easy. It is a little stressful with the massive changes that your body goes through during the pregnancy, but in the end it is all very worth it when your beautiful son or daughter is finally born.

Even through the fat stages and the ugly clothes stage and the crazy stages, you will make it in the end with a beautiful child and a very happy family.

Feminine Makeovers Start With Realistic Self-Appraisal

Feminine makeovers are more popular with each passing year. From wardrobe planning to hair and makeup impression management, to extreme plastic surgery, the rush is on for the complete transformation makeover.

Some people assume that magical changes in every aspect of their lives will result from a makeover or cosmetic surgery.

Maxwell Maltz, a cosmetic surgeon, was the first to notice that the best plastic surgery was not enough to change the self-concept and low self-esteem of some patients. Maltz's Psycho-Cybernetics, his system for developing positive thoughts about oneself, is a classic in the self-help canon.

The first step in planning your feminine makeover is to carefully consider what you want to achieve. You may find that some magical thinking is involved: If only I improve the shape of my nose, the smoothness of my complexion, or the width of my thighs, all kinds of wonderful changes will magically follow.

You are not alone if you have not given a lot of thought to how a simple Botox treatment will improve your career, love life, finances, and happiness. People have tried to achieve magical powers through alchemical processes since humankind's tribal beginnings.

The surgeon's scalpel has no more magical power than a sorcerer's wand.

In fact, our yen for animal print fashion is a modern example of the simplest form of sympathetic magic: the belief that the traits of the animal will be transferred to the wearer - courage, stealth, sensuality, freedom, and beauty.

The mythic quest of alchemy is to transform ordinary materials into gold. The ultimate alchemical transformation was always spiritual - the ascension of our human clay to spiritual grace and freedom.

The popularity of feminine makeovers is the latest manifestation of our yearning for magical transmutation.

As in the all things, the key is balance.

Feminine makeovers can make us feel good. A new hairstyle, a new outfit, even a flattering new shade of lipstick can make us smile.

If you have realistic expectations for cosmetic surgery, a Botox treatment, a new haircut or wardrobe, you are less likely to be disappointed.

No amount of exterior change can cure inner discontent. This was the great discovery of Maxwell Maltz. Feminine makeovers are ultimately an inside job.

How do you express your creativity and joy? Have you found your passion? These answers may be as important in finding the right haircut.

Feminine makeovers, a cultural craze, are only the latest manifestation of humankind's search for alchemical transmutation at the deepest, spiritual and creative levels of our being.

If you want more flattering clothing, find an image consultant. If your hair is a mess, invest in a good hairstylist. If you are sure that all you want of cosmetic surgery is to look more youthful or change a physical feature, it's time to make an appointment with a surgeon.

On the other hand, if you are fantasizing about how this will lead to a promotion at work, a new social life, fortune, or marriage, it is time for a reality check.

A feminine makeover may have very positive results. Just don't expect a complete alchemical transmutation of all the circumstances of your life.

The Beauty of Balance - Facing Challenges For Work-at-Home Moms

In today's modern society, mothers are luckier than ever to have the option to work at home. With the advancements in technology, telecommuting has become a very practical and affordable alternative, not only for employers but independent contractors, as well.

The convenience of being able to provide extra income while being at home with the children is an opportunity that many mothers are taking advantage of today.

Although working from home sounds like a dream job, it does not come without its own set of challenges. Work-at-home mothers are responsible for meeting production deadlines, providing childcare, completing household duties and coordinating any extra-curricular activities.

All this, while creating a loving and nurturing environment for her children. This can be a daunting task without the right tools to make it successful.

The first thing to remember is that it is all about balance and it can be done. It is crucial to make a schedule and adhere by it closely. Include things that you must make time for, i.e., work, family, birthdays, vacations, etc.

It is amazing the difference a schedule can make. This not only allows you to keep track of obligations but it also gives the children a sense of inclusion and activities to look forward to. Be creative with scheduling, it may be necessary to work after your children go to bed or before they get up.

Another important factor in working from home is to set aside your own private work space and implement firm working hours. This is key for making your work-at-home experience successful. It must be a place where you can close yourself off and concentrate on your work without any interruptions.

When your work hours are over they should be over. It is easy to become isolated and caught up in your projects, but your children should be able to know that you will be available to them after work hours.

Although you may be tempted to stay in your pajamas all day, it is very beneficial that you treat your work-at-home job like any other job. Dress for success, it not only helps with confidence, but it also jump starts motivation. Working at home requires a considerable amount of self-motivation and diligence to be successful.

Lastly, take advantage of resources that may be available to you. One of your most important resources is your family. If the children are old enough, have them increase their help with household duties. If you are married, split some of the cooking and childcare responsibilities. It is okay to delegate responsibilities and promote family cooperation to get the job done quickly.

Above all, make sure that you remember why you are working from home. Chances are you wanted to be close to your family, while providing income. It is easy to get distracted and concentrate solely on the business. Long work days and isolation may be good for your business, but remember, it is all about balance. It is possible to have it all!

5 Reasons You Should Shop Online For Plus Sizes

Why should you spend your time looking for new plus-size fashions online? I almost don't know where to begin!

Number One

O.K. First of all you don't have to drive half way across the country to get to the specialty shop. And when you find that they don't have what you are looking for or anything suitable, you have to trek off to the next store... and the next...and the next - you get the idea.

Factor in some lousy weather and you have spent a terrible day with nothing to show for it. And don't think that you have to "settle" for an outfit just to justify your painstakingly arduous shopping trip.

In a fraction of the time - often before you could even get to the store, you could have finished your shopping on-line in the comfort of your own home.

Number Two

Second, (and we touched on this above) "brick and mortar" stores have limited inventories. They either don't have what you want or they don't have your size. Fighting the traffic is bad enough but lack of inventory only adds insult to injury.

On-line merchants have access to large inventories of plus-size fashions. You don't need to drive to a plus-size sportswear store, then to a plus-size lingerie store, then to a plus-size formal-wear store, then to a plus-size swimwear store and then to a plus-size dress shop.

From your computer you can view and purchase all of the latest fashions available for plus-size women. You can find elegant, sexy, high fashion, formalwear, swim wear and cruise wear all while sipping a glass of fine wine in your home.

Number Three

Third you don't have to try on the outfits in those tiny cubicles and then step into the limelight just to see if the garment fits properly or "works" for you. You have seen the looks from the store's salespeople. Those looks can be degrading and demoralizing to anyone.

Number Four

Fourth, once you have found that perfect outfit you can check and compare pricing. Try doing that when you are driving all over the countryside to get to various stores. When you get to last store you realize the store furthest from you now has the best pricing. By the time you get there you have spent more on gas than you will save.

Number Five

Fifth as mentioned above, you are not only wasting time driving around but you are wasting your hard earned money on the gas it takes you to get from home to the stores and back again.

If you are environmentally conscious number five takes on a new meaning. Not only are you saving gas money but you are reducing your "carbon footprint" as well!

Bonus

And here's a bonus sixth reason! Every day on the internet there are sales going on. Some store somewhere has a sale that may just have the fabulous elegant dress or the sexy swimsuit you are looking for. All you have to do is look... and shop... from the comfort of your own home! How cool is that?

Check out the possibilities here!

Bra Fitting

Finding the perfect fitting bra is not as easy at it seems. There is somewhat of a set standard for sizing but bra manufacturers different in their sizing even within the same lines. When you go to get fitted, many stores will fit you tight, especially if you are in the larger size ranges.

European, French, and American bras fit differently. Molded bras fit different than a non-molded bra. Plus, there are different ways to measure.

One of the ways that people find their bra size is with a measuring tape. Measure just under your breasts straight across. Look in a mirror to see that the soft tape makes a straight line. If you have an even number, add 4 inches.

If you have an odd number add 5 inches. That number will be your band size. Next, measure the center of your breasts around the nipple area. Make sure that the measuring tape is straight in the back and runs across your nipples.

Subtract the band measure from this number. To get your cup size, go up a size for each inch. The French measurements are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, etc.. The American measurements are A, B, C, D, DD, DDD, G, H etc.. The European measurements are A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, etc.. For instance, if have a 6 inch difference between your breast and your rib cage, you will be a French F cup, American DDD cup, and European E cup.

Another way to measure is directly under your armpits. Measure above the breast directly under your arms. Make sure that the tape is straight. The number you get without adding inches is your band size.

If you are an odd number add one inch to your band size. Next, measure directly across your nipples. To get your cup size subtract your band size. Each inch difference will be your cup size.

Some people compare the under cup measurement with the armpit measurement to get your band size. If your underarm measurement is smaller than the under armpit measurement, you may have a small ribcage. You may want to go up a cup size.

You may also want to think about the bra style that you are buying. If you want a strapless, you may want to have a tighter fit. If you are buying a molded bra, you wear a smaller size than a non-molded bra.

Finally, when you are finding a perfit fitting bra, you may want to try it on. You may take a few different sizes to find your perfect size in that bra line. Make sure that you bra fits comfortable yet firm without bulging or riding up.

Jump up and down and see if you have excessive jiggling. Make sure that there are no creases in the front and that the wires are not poking. Your underwire should encompass the whole breast area.

Plus, you need room for 2 fingers on the middle hook and eye closure. If the bra fits perfect, then you have found your bra size for that line. Experts say that 85% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. Be selective and take your time to find your perfect fit.

Menopause and Hysterectomy - Facts Every Woman Should Know

If you are a woman approaching the age of menopause, you may or may not know the exact definition and reasons for a hysterectomy. To explain, a hysterectomy is a surgical removal of the entire womb or uterus, which will induce something called "surgical menopause".

Many times in addition to the uterus one or both of the ovaries are also removed during the same operative procedure. There are many reasons why this is necessary, although it will vary for each woman's circumstances.

Hopefully your doctor will explain the reasons to you in detail, as this is an important consideration.

For a woman in whom the ovaries are left intact, although they no longer have monthly periods, will not experience menopausal symptoms or the effects of hormonal deprivation.

In other words as long as the ovaries continue to function normally, or until natural menopause begins, she will not necessarily experience the effects of a typical menopause.

However in a large percentage of women the ovaries will become dysfunctional after several years following the surgery.

Most doctors agree that it is better to preserve the function of the ovaries as long as possible, however, as the alternative can be rather severe. In cases where both of the ovaries are removed the source of estrogen and testosterone is lost.

This sudden drop in hormone levels is severe, and causes great physical and mental distress in many women. This is quite different from natural circumstances, when menopause decline in estrogen levels may be more gradual.

Of course this "normal' path of menopause can still be a life-changing experience, but is much preferred in that it takes several years for these hormones to dissipate in production naturally.

A women's health study published 1983 in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) revealed a significantly higher death rate among women between the ages of 40-50 who had had a hysterectomy and who did not have any estrogen replacement, as compared to those who were given estrogen treatments.

For those women who only had their uterus removed, the rate was 3 times higher. For those who also had both ovaries removed as well, the rate was nearly 8 times higher! This is incredibly strong evidence towards HRT treatment in women that have a hysterectomy.

Luckily, most of the routinely prescribed programs of HRT are at least somewhat effective in preventing the long-term side effects of hormone deficiency and maintaining quality of life.

Although in most cases HRT is effective, there are still a small percentage of women that don't respond to this treatment as expected.

The reasons for this are not clear, but each persons body and chemistry are unique, and it is thought that genetics play some role in this response as well.

Using Herbs to Reduce Menopause Signs

Most women, at some point in their life, will begin to suffer from menopause signs, and it's not at all unusual for them to look around and weigh up the different options available to them.

For many women, they will go down the obvious path of consulting their doctor (which we would always advise) and will likely be prescribed on to something called HRT, or Hormone Replacement Therapy to give it's full title.

But there are potentially unpleasant side effects linked to HRT, and for many women the thought of going on to such a serious medical treatment can be a bit too much. This is why many women are turning to herbal supplements to help their menopause signs.

For many women, herbal supplements are a much more natural way to treat their menopause signs, as this is what people in previous times would have always done. The western world often turns it's nose up to more herbal supplements, but many people swear by them and prefer them over the lab-based, synthetic treatments that modern medicine can offer.

Herbs alone will not stop your menopause signs, you need to look at other aspects of your life also, things like your diet and the amount of exercise that you're getting, but focusing on finding a good herbal supplement can make a lot of difference.

The main reason that menopause signs appear in the first place is a hormonal imbalance in your body, and in exactly the same way that you want to improve that imbalance, you need to try and sort out the imbalance in your life too.

Make sure that you are dieting well, eating right and exercising as much as possible as well as relying on things like herbal supplements.

The most important thing to do at this point is your research. The biggest mistake that many women make when using herbal supplements to treat their menopause signs is to buy the first product they see, without finding out some quality information.

Get yourself online and do a search for the product. Read the reviews and see what other people think. Remember to take reviews with a bit of a pinch of salt, one bad review with countless good reviews doesn't mean the product is poor, it just may mean that some people have had a bad experience. Consult your doctor and see if you can find something that is right for you.

Summer Fashion Trends For 2010

Whether you're spending time relaxing on a beach, touring a European city or reading outside in your own back yard, you'll want to be feeling fashionable. Check out these tips for creating the most beautiful and trendy summer wardrobe.

- This year invest in a classic Parisian striped top. It will go with everything in your wardrobe, from high waisted shorts to 50s style tapered trousers. Pop it on when you want to look elegant and expensive, and add a straw hat for a Venetian twist.

- Hair styles for summer 2010 are inspired by braids. Whether you do a large messy fishtail side braid in the style of Alexander Wang's New York show or create a vintage braided updo in the style of Rochas girls, keep experimenting with different plaits for different occasions.

- The crew neck is the neckline of the season, and thank goodness, because this means that gorgeous tanned legs can be shown off to their full advantage whilst you remain elegant and classy. Keep your t-shirts long sleeved as well as high necked, and for extra fashion points invest this season in a high-waisted skirt to mix and match with your multicoloured shirts.

- Learn the art of draping and wrapping, if you want to look super chic this summer. Donna Karan's runway was filled with artistic fabric movements and styles, which you can replicate at home by being a bit more experimental and maybe even creating your own chiffon wrapped bodycon dress. Keep the colours neutral for the most subtle effect.

- Blonde hair is the ultimate summery compliment to fresh glowing skin. Take a visit to your hairdresser to get some subtle highlights added that will catch the sun's rays on a hot day by the beach. And keep drinking lots of water so that your skin looks hydrated and fresh.

- Classic shapes mixed with modern prints make for a very pretty but edgy look. Combine lace and sharp tailoring for a similar effect or bright contemporary colours with feminine cuts, and look to Erdem's SS10 show for inspiration.

- Lace is definitely big for this season, as the 'underwear as outerwear' trend continues in high streets as well as on the catwalk. Lace edging on a vest top is a simple way to add it to your wardrobe, or look for a pretty 60s style cream lace dress with a silk slip underneath.

- Neutrals are set to be a big trend for the autumn/winter season, so if you want to start building a wearable wardrobe for the whole year, look to colours like camel, cream, beige, ivory, taupe, peach, nude and antique rose.

Which Bikini Styles Are Best For the Small-Busted Women?

Women tend to spend a lot of their time and effort preparing for the summer season, especially when it comes to choosing a bikini style. Numerous women make daily trips to the gym to lose weight and get fit.

Some ladies will go on crash diets just to achieve a flat tummy. Still other women will go to the extent of visiting a doctor who will schedule them for liposuction or numerous other surgical procedures that are warranted to remove unwanted fats. Why do women do these things?

Women go to great lengths to get their bodies in shape because summer is when friends have parties on their boats or on the beach. These women don't want to forego an invitation just because their bodies are out of shape.

Savvy females know they have a lot of options available to them for getting perfect looking abs or a slimmer body. Unfortunately, there aren't as many choices for women who want to enlarge their small busts. The question always comes up: "How can I remedy this problem?" The answer is that you should choose a bikini style that's right for you.

If you have a small bust, then you should choose a good-looking bikini whose colors compliment your skin tones. Next, choose a top that has ruffles. The ruffles make your chest area puff out and the ruffled top will give you the volume that you need. Ruffles are not just for kids. Hundreds of bikini tops are sold online these days with ruffles that give a girl a sexy look.

Another option is to choose from bikini tops with graphic prints. The graphic prints help to give the illusion of a larger sized bust line. Prints are popular this season and you can't go wrong with them.

Although a large number of women believe that wearing push-ups are great, those styles of swimwear tops do make your breasts look firmer and fuller. The sad part, however, is that you can't push up something that's no there, especially if your breasts are very small.

Push-up bikini tops require that you have at least a little bump or skin that allows the push-up built-in bra to work for you. Gals with flat chests should not consider swimsuit tops with built-in push-up bras.

Rather than choosing a top with push-ups, you'd do better to buy swimsuit tops that have built-in pads. This type of top will provide the look you want. They're safe even for active girls who move a lot.

If you want to play beach volleyball, you won't have to worry about slipping out of the top of your suit. Pad inserts are especially good for females who want only to sit on the sand and sip their favorite cocktail. So if you just want to get a great tan line, this type of bikini top is great.

Lastly, for the small-breasted woman, the triangle bikini tops, with just a little bit of padding, can hide your small size, while still making your figure look great. Remember, you don't have to show cleavage to appear sexy.

Breast Shrinking Pills

Breast augmentation surgery may very well be the number one performed plastic surgery in the world, but not all women want larger, firmer breasts: some women actually want to reduce their breast size and they're willing to pay handsomely to get the job done!

Why on earth would a woman with naturally large, beautiful breasts want to reduce them? Very few women (and men) take into consideration the problems associated with jumbo breasts.

Besides unwanted (and often negative) attention, giant breasts are often associated with chronic neck and back pain, as well as emotional trauma.

If those weren't enough to make a woman reconsider purchasing a giant set of breast implants, most women with overly large breasts aren't able to participate in sports or otherwise athletic activities. Does having large breasts still sound like fun?

If you have jumbo breasts that are inhibiting your quality of life, you'll be happy to know there are a few solutions available in this modern world of ours. The first is the less expensive of your two options: breast reduction pills.

Before you roll your eyes at the idea of popping pills to reduce your breast size, the science behind the product is sound. However, whether or not the product will provide you with significant results depends on the product you choose and your body's natural response to it.

Breast reduction pills are hardly new news. If you're considering taking them, there's a few things you should do before committing to a long term trial. First, is the product safe to take?

You should do some homework about the manufacturer of the pill and try to find unbiased testimonial's from previous customers. Second, what does your doctor say about the pill? Does he or she think it's a good idea for you?

It may surprise you that your family doctor might be able to enlighten you about the pill, its manufacturer, or possibly another breast reduction option that you might not be currently aware of.

It is always best to speak with your family doctor before you make any health related decisions that include taking medications (prescribed or not), beginning any type of exercise program, or agreeing to undergo any type of invasive surgery.

Your family doctor knows your body better than anyone, and he or she will always have valuable input on any health decisions you make.

If popping breast-shrinking pills doesn't sound like an ideal method of reducing your breast size, there's another option: breast reduction surgery. The procedure is designed to permanently reduce your breast size by excising fat, glandular tissue, and skin.

You'll notice an immediate, ample loss in breast size the moment you wake up from surgery. During the next few weeks of post surgery recovery, the inflammation will subside and you'll experience an even greater decrease in breast size.

Breast reduction surgery isn't cheap, but it's safe, effective, and the results are immediate. It's a fantastic, time tested method for alleviating the negative aspects of living with over-sized breasts all your life.

If you're considering this surgery, you should contact a local plastic surgeon that is board-certified in the procedure and schedule an initial interview.

Choosing the Perfect Plus Size Lingerie

When you talk about sexy lingerie, you will notice that most people will almost always think of darkish black and red lacy peep-hole bras and almost see-through panties. Nonetheless, this concept doesn't really exemplify what a sexy lingerie is and what it does.

Sensual lingerie has the ability to change what might be known as an average body into something more. Even to a large size woman, she can find plus size lingerie in almost every online lingerie store. The key to unlocking the power of lingerie is to use it to give emphasis to the most positive features of the lady who wears it.

Women would be clever to remember that men are visual creatures. By emphasizing a woman's most eye-catching features in a visually interesting way, she can count on getting a optimistic response from her male admirer every time.

Not only does the wearing of "sexy" lingerie exude sexuality, wearing sensuous, pretty/ racy underwear can boost a woman's self-assurance in her body ten-fold.

The great news is that today's sexy lingerie is no longer unpleasant, scratchy and unpractical. Fluid lines, top quality lace and silk and other sensual resources, and, most important, a style suited for today's woman (as opposed to yesterday's stick insect shape) means they are like a second skin - and a very flattering one.

Push up bras can form the most of an plentiful (or small) breast at the same time lacy boy pants can slimmer a round belly and cuddly bottom whilst thongs can show off sexy legs.

Wearing attractive, sexy underwear cannot help but have a favorable mental effect on the woman who wears it and a more confident, happy person will radiate this and reap the rewards.

Remember, the key to wearing sexy lingerie is to target on the most attractive parts of your body. Find the area or areas that flatter you the most and look for the right lingerie that accentuate those particular areas. Even if it is hidden under your suit, or a t shirt and jeans, you know that you are wearing it and then so will other people!

Breast Enlargement Procedures

Though the use of fat transfer for breast enlargement talked about in the news these days, most cosmetic surgeons are not convinced of its practicality and recommend traditional silicone and saline breast implants that they have used successfully for many years.

For small changes like filling in facial lines, fat transfer can work well, but with the amount of fat that is needed to augment breasts, the difficulties multiply.

A certain amount of fat is expected to be reabsorbed or to die off, and fat that's purified in a centrifuge can harden into lumps once it is introduced back into the body. The small amount of enlargement possible from fat transfer makes it impractical in most cases.

Breast implants are more popular than ever, despite the difficult economic times in recent years. In 2008, despite the recession, there were over 307,000 breast augmentation surgeries, making it the most popular cosmetic procedure (with rhinoplasty and liposuction ranking second and third).

There seems to be a trend particularly among younger women toward larger implants. Most cosmetic surgeons have experience in using implants of up to 500 cc volume, and many cosmetic surgeons consider this to be an upper limit for all but those with very large frames.

However, there are cosmetic surgeons who specialize in silicone implants of 500 to 750 cc, and there does seem to be a growing demand for them.

After silicone breast implants went back on the market in 2006 after being restricted to reconstructive use for the preceding 14 years, they rapidly came back in popularity, eclipsing use of saline implants, which are generally considered to be less natural looking.

The advantage of silicone over saline is their more natural look. However, if a silicone implant should rupture, it can cause fairly serious problems, while if a saline implant ruptures, the saline is simply absorbed by the body. Nevertheless, most women prefer silicone to saline.

Anyone considering having breast enlargements should thoroughly research the cosmetic surgeons they have access to and choose one who has the experience and skill necessary to do the best work possible. This is one situation in which trying to save money can be unwise.

Facts About PermaLip

One sign of beauty that rarely seems to go out of style is the plump, pouty lip. Both men and women know that fuller, plumper lips give a more youthful appearance than thin lips. As one ages, the lips tend to thin out and wrinkle as they lose their fullness.

Lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure available for the person who is ready to improve the youthful look of their lips.

There are a number of fillers available for these procedures, but they must be repeated over time because they are absorbed by the body. For a more permanent solution, the PermaLip implant is an excellent option.

PermaLip implants are inserted into the lip area through small incisions, often inside the mouth to hide any scarring that may occur. These implants are synthetic and do not absorb into the body like many of the injectable fillers available.

This means that although the PermaLip procedure may cost more to begin with, it is actually less expensive than fillers, which have to be topped off every six months to a year in order to maintain plumpness.

There are some risks associated with permanent fillers, such as infection, migration of the implant, and asymmetry of the lips. However, these complications are rare. It is best to consult with your board certified plastic surgeon to determine the best procedure for you.

It is important that you go over your entire health history with your surgeon so that he will know if there are any pre-existing conditions that may cause complications. He will be able to work with you to decide whether PermaLip implants are the answer to giving you the full, plump, youthful looking lips you desire

What Are the Options For Breast Implants Gone Wrong?

There is much news about breast implants gone wrong. You can see pictures all over the television, magazines, and the internet. The pictures look funny but have you ever wondered how the affected individuals felt?

What if you suffered from the same fate? Before you start laughing about such situations, just think how it would feel if you were the victim. The first thing that you would be looking for is the option available for you to restore what has been damaged.

Breast enhancement has always been an attractive subject especially for women who are not endowed with beautiful breasts! If you are planning to undergo a breast implant surgery, you should know about the options for you just in case something went wrong.

Once you have suffered from an unsuccessful procedure, you will need to call the concerned surgeon. Tell them about what you feel about the end result. There are times when the discontent is due to impatience.

You should be aware that it would take several weeks before you can see the actual changes. The body is still undergoing the healing process, so it's natural for your breast to NOT look right. While you're still recovering from the surgery, the surgeon should monitor your condition by offering ongoing consultation.

There are good surgeons that will fix the damage which resulted from the enhancement. Your present condition will be compared against certain facts but just in case the surgeon doesn't see any problem, you can proceed with revision surgery.

If the changes are not noticeable, you might as well accept it. If you were at fault and you decided to go for a low cost or affordable breast implant, there is no point in finding a solution.

The damage has been done but if you think that there is still a way, you can consider revision surgery. Again, for this option, you will need financing but don't worry because this is less costly. As the term suggests, the initial operation will be revised or improved.

This is also called reconstructive surgery and if you want, you can consult with a local institute that is an expert with this kind of procedure. Make sure that you find a skilled and experienced surgeon so that you can finally correct the damage.

Opening your eyes to reality is very important if you want to find the best solution. For Orange County residents, you can find a local surgeon who specializes in reconstructive surgery. Do your research and check the background of the surgeon.

Remember that you have already experienced breast implants gone wrong and you know how to it feels. Talk to the reconstructive surgeon about your feelings and the things that you don't like about the breast implant.

By talking and expressing your feelings, the surgeon will know what to do. After the procedure, the damage can be undone and you will have natural-looking breasts. If you didn't get the exact results the first time, there are still options available for you.

How to Choose Hair Removal - Chin

Chin Hair Removal: Permanent Or Temporary?

Many men and women don't like to have hair on their chins, and they would prefer to have it removed. If you are one of these people, don't be discouraged by this unwanted hair! There are many ways to get hair removal chin area, and here are a few of the best.

Although there are many different methods, they all boil down to being either permanent or temporary. First, let's look at the temporary methods.

The most common temporary method is shaving. Many men shave almost every day to keep their chins clean and without hair. This method is cheap and easy to do, but it requires constant care. It can become a chore after a while.

Depilatories are chemicals which are applied to the chin in order to dissolve the hair. This keeps hair from growing back for a long time. Though, it can be dangerous since you could get an allergic reaction to the chemicals. Make sure that your skin can handle it before you use these.

Waxing is a little more costly, but it is one of the most popular ways to get rid of hair removal from the chin. Waxing not only removes the hair, but it also has extra ingredients to soothe your skin. If you get redness or itchiness, then you can rub your chin with ice.

Next are the methods for the permanent removal of chin hair. These are generally more expensive than temporary removal, but after they're done you don't have to worry about it again.

First is electrolysis, which involves a needle destroying the follicles individually. If treatment is done by a professional, then electrolysis will permanently remove all the hair from your chin. It is a bit expensive, and requires a lot of sessions, but it is all worth it in the end.

Plus Size Swim Suits Guidelines

If you are a full figured woman then you will want to consider wearing a plus size swim suit. Nothing looks tackier than a woman who can not fit properly in her swimsuit.

The last thing you want is to own a bathing suit that is too small, or is not designed for your body type, and have the upper half spilling out over the side and front. There is help for you and it can be found with an underwire swimsuit.

For a plus sized woman support is the very first thing you will want to consider in your swimsuit. Plus size swim suits are available that give you the support, comfort, and fit that you need.

Underwire swimwear is designed with added strength and stability for your body type and will help you improve your posture. In addition, being properly supported will prevent your breasts from bouncing around and make sure you do not incur any tissue damage.

Not only that, but you will be surprised to know these styles come in designer fashions and can make you look fabulous around the pool or beach.

Before we recommend some plus size swim suits we need to discuss sizing. You need to get the suit to fit properly or you will be wasting your money. Most women do not understand how to properly fit themselves with upper body undergarments, let alone a swimsuit.

Most importantly when try on the swimsuit your breasts should be totally contained within the material. Make sure the underwire completely covers the underside of your skin without any gaps while not being too tight.

Also, the front should never be pulled away from the skin. If you do not get fit properly you will be miserable in your swimwear, and it can also be unhealthy for your posture, back, and neck.

Here are some plus size swim suits that we really like, particularly the underwire swimsuits. The first one is the Trim Shaper one piece bathing suit that offers underwire support. It will also provide you with hip, tummy, and waist minimizing fabric to help with body shaping.

We also really like the Miraclesuit line of swimwear with their patented body shaping fabric called Miratex, along with the underwire design. The company claims by wearing their swimsuits you can look ten pounds lighter in ten minutes.

For retailers you can visit Old Navy as they have some reasonably priced plus sized underwire suits. They especially feature a halter top underwire that can be add some extra support.

If you are looking for alternative styles of plus size swim suits besides the one piece swimsuits you might want to consider and underwire tankini or bikini. The tankini is really nice for women who want the concealment of a one piece swimsuit but the comfort that two pieces offer.

There are some oline retailers who offer these plus sized tankinis such as Always for me, the Swim Outlet, and Aerin Rose.

If you are looking for a bolder look then consider a plus sized underwire bikini. Not every plus size figure will look right with this style, but if you have a nice hourglass figure then a plus size bikini will enhance your figure.

Style Tips For Plus Size Women

I know a lot of us are completely happy with how we look, and never worry about what we look like or how we're dressed. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those women. While I'm happy being the size I am, I still dress to minimize my plumpness. Not sure why - perhaps that's for another article!

So I've got a few tips on the following pages - just things that I've picked up along my journey through life. I hope they're helpful to you - my aim is to enable larger women to feel comfortable and secure, and proud of who they are.

I know a lot of you are proud of yourselves already, but some of us need a little help from time to time. Enjoy!

* Dark Colors: I find that dark colors hide shadows in my clothes that my wobbly bits create, where as light colors emphasize the shadows

* Patterns: As long as the patterns are small, they hide a multitude of cream donuts! And I don't think large patterns really look good on anyone.

* Stripes: Diagonal, or vertical strips are flattering to any shape, as they draw the eye down the body, elongating it. Horizontal strips are best left to the waifs amongst us.

* Fit:
Fitting clothes always look better than tent-like clothes, on any shape or size. They give a definite shape tothe body, elongating it and creating a waist. Don't be frightened to wear fitting shirts or dresses. You will be pleasantly surprised by the result.

* Belts: Belts create an instant waist, and, like fitting clothes, give your body a shape. Don't worry about the muffin-top - it's still better than wearing a square piece of clothing.

* Frills: Ruffles and frills can be tricky - they can work, but perhaps keeping things simple and elegant is the way to go.

* T-shirts: Again, I'd go with darker colors and for the larger busted amongst us, Square necks or scoops or V-necks are extremely flattering. The V moves the focus to your face and gives the impression of a longer neck.

I am dedicated to helping plus size women feel good about themselves. I have a web site promoting lingerie for plus sizes, along with a blog and links to other helpful sites.
