Tips For Putting on Lipstick

As a woman you need to realize that wearing lipstick is important if you are wearing any other kind of makeup because it gives you that final touch. Lipstick can be used in conjunction with other makeup, but it can also be used alone to give your face that finished look.

The key to wearing lipstick is making sure that you are applying it correctly, which is going to vary on a variety of different factors.

No matter if you are going out for a night on the town or are getting ready to go into work the color of your lipstick and the shape of your lips are going to determine how you should apply your lipstick.

The first thing that you need to have when applying lipstick is a mirror. You want to use a mirror that is going to allow you to get a close look at your lips, so sometimes bigger is going to be better. Small compact mirrors can work in a pinch, but should be avoided if at all possible.

You will also need to have two colors of lipstick; one is going to be the actual color while the second tube is going to be the finishing color. Lip liner, a lip brush, and lip balm will also be needed.

The first step to applying the actual lipstick is to apply a small amount of lip balm onto your lips with a cotton swab. The lip balm will help moisturize your lips and it will help the color of your lipstick last longer.

After the lip balm has dried, you can apply lip liner along the outside or inside of your lips, make sure it is kept to a fine line.

To make your lips appear thinner you apply the lip liner to the inside edges of your lips, while applying lip liner to the outside edges will cause your lips to look fuller.

When applying lip liner you want to start in the center of your lips and work towards the outside, and you should always follow the natural shape of your lips.

The third step to applying your lipstick is to use a lipstick brush or the lipstick tube to apply the lipstick to your lips. You will want to use the actual color of lipstick during this step and not the finishing color.

When applying the lipstick make sure you apply it evenly over your lips, paying close attention to the edges because many people overlook them. After applying the actual color, you want to apply the finishing color and then gently blot your lips with a tissue to even out the shade.
