Are You Considering Breast Reduction Surgery?

Most women have considered breast implants at one time or another. In fact, a large percentage of young girls - even as young as high school - have given serious thought to having breast augmentation surgery.

Women that are naturally endowed with large breasts wouldn't agree with the average girl's desire for breast implants. Why not? Because they know that large breasts aren't all they're cracked up to be.

There are a number of negative side effects associated with having gigantic breasts. The first two are chronic neck and back pain. Imagine carrying around twenty or thirty extra pounds from your neck all day long, nonstop.

Now imagine doing it for ten or twenty or even thirty years! Chronic neck and back pain are serious problems that every woman with oversized breasts must deal with on a day-to-day basis.

Another problem with large breasts is emotional stress. Have you ever cracked a joke when you caught sight of a woman that had gigantic breasts? Of course, you probably weren't rude enough to say the joke directly to her face, but I assure you there's someone out there who's rude enough to the same joke straight to her face.

Women with large breasts are often the subject of ridicule, scorn, and even jealousy amongst their female peers, friends, and sometimes their own family members.

Do you like to play sports? Perhaps you're an avid soccer player, or a casual basketball player? Well, if you had twenty or thirty pounds of weight hanging from your neck, I'd wager you'd think twice about playing sports.

Excess weight hanging from a woman's chest, especially excessive weight, creates a serious problem for women who enjoy sports. The extra weight can cause a lot of unnecessary pain when a woman runs or otherwise engages in athletic activities.

Do you have extra large breasts? Are they cramping your lifestyle? Are you in physical pain because of them? There is a solution for you. It's called breast reduction surgery.

Thankfully, breast reduction is considered preventive surgery. Insurance companies know the long-term negative effects associated with giant breasts. If you need breast reduction surgery, there is a high probability that your health insurance company will cover the costs of the surgery.

When you have breast reduction surgery, your surgeon will seek to permanently reduce the size of your breasts. The idea is to reduce them to a size that compliments the woman's figure; not too small, but certainly smaller than her current breast size.

The surgeon will excise fat, skin, and glandular tissue. A lot of weight can be removed in a relatively short amount of time. While the surgeon is reducing your breast size, he or she can also firm them up and reshape them for a more appealing look.

The procedure itself will take no longer than a few hours. The majority of women who have the surgery go home the same day of their surgery, and will spend the first few days of recovery at home in their own bed. The best part of breast reduction surgery is you will feel (and see) the difference in your breast size immediately following your surgery.

If you're interested in breast reduction surgery, you should call a plastic surgeon that specializes in the procedure and schedule a consultation. Most surgeons offer a free initial consultation.
