Looking Stylish and Chic With a Plus-Size Tee

Summer is here and it's time to get those bright colored clothes out to match the weather! If you are on the heavier side however, it might be a pain trying to figure out what type of tops will suit you for the season.

Most of us spend so much on fashionable clothes only to end up wearing them just once or twice. The trick is to select the ones that will last you through the years and keep up with the changing trends in the fashion market.

For the last 20 years or so, we've seen the regular plain tee outlast all other fashion trends when it comes to clothing. Especially for bigger-size women, having lots of them in your closet will save you time and trouble wondering about what to wear on your casual trips.

Cotton or knitted tees are the best choices - the material is quite comfortable and cool to wear, and it does not have the tendency to stick to your body. So it works quite well to conceal those flabs and extra weight you would want to hide.

I recommend choosing those styles which do not cling to the body. This type usually comes with an open neckline and this can make you look a lot leaner than the ones that come with collars. Choose those with loose fitting armholes and sleeves that extend just right above the elbow.

Or you can get those with longer loose sleeves but fit snugly along the lower arm so you can just pull them up for a more fashionable and sassy look.

I also find those plain tees with hip bands to work well on the plus-size figure. Rather than going for those totally loose styles all the way down, tees that come with hip bands makes clothes look a lot more fashionable and not at all sloppy like those loose shirts do. You can add a trendy hip belt to look more chic and you can go all the way with accessories on a plain, loose tee.

So get lots of these tees for your wardrobe. Come autumn and winter, they will serve well as inner shirts for your jackets and coats. They look equally great when accented with a scarf and surely, they'll stay in your wardrobe throughout the years, throughout all seasons.
